This is one of many views that one can see while walking around the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens this time of year. It seems like just about every flower, tree and plant is in full bloom. Lately, it's almost overwhelming trying to pick out what to paint, but at the same time the draw to this place is hard to resist. During this visit, after walking around for about 30 minutes, I spotted these vivid blossoms, which contrasted against the softer, darker background. They were also a nice contrast to the hard, rigid form of the retaining wall and stone path that ran through this part of the garden.
